The Italian Job is a Mini run with a difference! Firstly it brings together a group of Mini enthusiasts on some of the best roads in Europe and secondly it raises money for children charities through fundraising and sponsorship. Since it began in 1990, the Italian Job has raised over £2,000,000 for children.
The rules for entering the Italian Job state that anyone over the age of 21 who drives a Mini (old or new) or a classic car from the 1969 Italian Job can participate. Known as “Jobbers”, these include Mini owning enthusiasts from all over the world.
The route for the run differs from year to year, but can include a wide range of locations such as Bologna, Turin and Venice as well as small villages, medieval bridges and roads off the beaten track. Although the route varies, one thing is guaranteed - fun! Jobbers often take their own route to the start point to make the most of the fantastic European scenery.
The Italian Job supports KidsOut, the national charity providing fun and happiness to disadvantages children throughout the UK. At the time of writing, the total raised for charity from the Italian Job stands at £2,020,126.72.
